Accessibility statement

We want everyone to be able to use this website, and every driver to be able to use the apps, whatever their eyesight, hands or equipment. Here's what we do, where we still fall short, and how to reach us.

Last reviewed October 2026 Covers onetouchdvir.com and the apps

The short version

Four things this page says.

  • Our goal is WCAG 2.1 Level AA, for this website and the apps.
  • The site works from the keyboard and respects reduced motion and your text size.
  • Where we still fall short, we say so plainly.
  • Need another format or a hand? Call or email Bob.

Our goal

Our goal is for onetouchdvir.com and the driver and mechanic apps to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA.

We check the site and the apps ourselves as we build them. Neither has had an independent accessibility audit yet, so we don't claim full conformance. If you find something that gets in your way, we want to hear about it.

What we do on this website

  • Contrast checked in Night and Day. Every text and background color comes from the One Light design system, and we check those pairs against WCAG contrast ratios in both themes.
  • Links look like links. Links inside a paragraph are underlined, not just colored.
  • Works from the keyboard. Links, buttons and menus can be reached with the keyboard, in a sensible order, with a clear outline showing where you are. A "Skip to content" link comes first, and the Escape key closes the menu on small screens.
  • Respects reduced motion. If your device is set to reduce motion, the fade-ins and the animated app previews stay still.
  • Respects your text size. Text follows your browser's text-size setting and zoom, and pages fit a screen 320 pixels wide without scrolling sideways.
  • Never color alone. Anything that shows a status has an icon and a word as well as a color.
  • A clear structure. Each page has one main heading, headings in order, and labeled areas for the header, menu, main content and footer, so screen reader users can move around quickly.
  • Pictures are described. Pictures of the app come with a written description of what's on the screen.
  • Night or Day, your choice. The site follows your device's light or dark setting, and the Night and Day switch in the header or menu changes it.

In the driver and mechanic apps

The apps are built for a bus yard at 5:30 in the morning: cold hands and poor light. The One Light design is built around that:

  • Big buttons, easy to hit with cold hands or touchscreen gloves.
  • Night and Day themes: a dim screen that won't blind a driver in a dark yard, and a crisp one for snow glare.
  • Status by icon and word, never by color alone.
  • No pop-up pickers. The app uses its own number boxes instead of the phone's pop-up clock and calendar, which can push an OK button off the screen at large text settings.
  • Checked on a small phone with a large text setting.

Known limits

Here's where we know we fall short today.

  • The animated app previews are decorative. They're hidden from screen readers and skipped by the keyboard. Each one has a written description instead, and nothing in them is needed to use the site.

  • The moving app previews have no pause button yet. They stop when you scroll past them or switch tabs, and if your device is set to reduce motion, they stay still.

  • Windows High Contrast mode. In Windows High Contrast (forced colors) mode, some card and button outlines on this site may not show. The text and links still do.

  • Text size in the apps is fixed. In the driver and mechanic apps, buttons and text are a fixed, large size. On many phones, your text-size setting has no effect there; on others, the whole app zooms instead, and we check that it still fits a small phone at 130%. We chose fixed sizes so a big setting can't push a button off the screen.

  • Pinch-to-zoom is turned off in the apps. On many phones, the driver and mechanic apps don't let you zoom in with two fingers. If that gets in your way, tell us and we'll help you another way.

  • The apps haven't had an independent audit. We haven't yet had the driver or mechanic app audited against WCAG 2.1 AA.
